It All started With Lynn
Lynn Goldsmith and The Jeter Mountain Band is a Henderson County, North Carolina based band. We play a variety of genres specializing in a blues/ country/ rock/bluegrass mix. The band name, Jeter Mountain, is named after a song that Lynn wrote about Jeter Mountain, a song featured on her Carolina Girl CD and, a mountain range between Henderson and Transylvania counties.
From her debut CD, Carolina Girl, Lynn soon became known as the Carolina Girl. Along with band members, Tom Murray- banjo, dobro and guitar, Steve Briggs-mandolin, guitar and harmonica, and Mike Orr-bass and kick drum, the band plays many of Lynn's original tunes, from five CD projects, along with a large variety of cover tunes from many genres of music. From high energy blues/rock to sweet country/bluegrass ballads this group shares the soul of all things Carolina.
